Pain Fatigue Blisters

Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Ugh I was reminded again that I have gone through radiation treatment. Not that I needed it.

I've been experiencing some pain the past few days - the shooting achy pain that was in full force right after I finished treatment - but NOT as bad as then. Just a weird re-occurence.

AND last night I blistered again! Ugh.

Today was the fatigue. I didn't sleep well, and we were meeting a friend for a Tuesday hike at 9 a.m. as part of a virtual half marathon we are doing. Last week it was 8:30 and so hot. The weather has been cooler this week and I was glad for more time to get going.

We did about 4.5 miles at Sailor Bar, a county part that's really close to where I live but only recently discovered. I love it there! Today, though, I was really struggling at the end which included a few uphills on the trails. I'm wiped out now and the rest of the day has been catching up on volunteer work and a pedicure is planned.

Hope your Tuesday is going well. Thanks for reading.

If your body is giving you unpleasant signals then you should listen. You really need to slow down. Resume when you feel better. Don't over do! emoticon

I am so sorry you are blistering -- I did find that applying sterile gauze soaked in sterile saline (from the drugstore) helped quite a bit. The fatigue is very very real and can last for a long time: I found that I had to cut back on my activities and rest to accommodate it.
