Since I'm Up Early...

I slept bad several nights this week, so last night I kinda crashed at 9 pm. Then I woke up at 5 am today! I have been catching up on Spark for the last week and drinking coffee and doing the dishes for the last hour +. I will have breakfast after I write this then go sign in to work.

It is now two weeks after Pascha (Easter) and I am proud to report that I have actually lost weight both weeks rather than gaining like I usually do! I lost 0.75 of a lb. the first week and 0.50 of a lb. this week. Not tons but still steady losses. I am pleased. I am enjoying my meat and dairy but keeping my portions in check.

The thing I am lacking is exercise. I have been so busy after work most days that I haven't had a whole lot of time to exercise. Last night I had time and went for a 50 minute walk and it felt wonderful. I plan to do the same tonight. I also plan to walk and/or do strength training (a kettlebell routine) on both Saturday and Sunday. I really need to step it up!

Goals for the rest of May:

emoticon Drink 8 cups of water per day. Doing much better with this so far this month. I met this goal 7 out of 8 days last week.

emoticon Track food daily. Again, doing well with this so far.

emoticon Eating plans: No S and USDA My Plate. Both of these are going well. I am trying to do the My Plate thing every night at dinner and that seems to be helping the weight loss.

emoticon Walk at least 3 times per week for 35 minutes. Still working on this.

emoticon Strength training - work up to three sessions per week. Still working on this.

emoticon Finish at least one audio or e-book per week. This is going well. I am almost done with the 1000 page book I have been reading since December!

emoticon Attend church Sat. evening and Sun. morning. Again, this is going better and I feel much more comfortable going now that I am fully vaccinated.

Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That it's Friday!
2) That I don't have to drive into the office today and can work remotely (my office is closed this week).
3) For the overtime I will get in today since I will clock in early (since I am up early).
