New stove/oven

Friday, May 07, 2021

Someone is coming today as our current one is over 30 years old and built in with the cupboards and countertop. Our Oven hasn’t worked in 4 years and only 2 burners, but with the two of us our toaster oven works just fine. Anyway we have electric and looking at reviews they are all bad, glass-tops scratch and crack and need to replace when damaged. The new burners shut off and many complaints they can’t even boil water and even when buying new pans the thermometer shuts off and they regret buying them being out hundreds of dollars. Another option is to inquire converting over to gas. We replaced our refrigerator, garbage disposal about 3 years ago as all the appliances were from Montgomery wards that went out of business years ago, but the quality of their products last for years.

I have had electric stoves for years and love mine. My mom still uses gas. But when we bought this house, it already had an electric stove and the apartments we had rented all had electric ones so it wasn't that hard for me

I love my electric stove and oven I can't imagine not having an oven. I love roasting vegetables and meat at the same time in one pan. It saves time and my energy. I only have one pot to wash and the vegetables and meat cooking together in the oven gives me time to do something else.
Baking cakes, muffins, cookies, etc. is also good. I never buy baking, except bread. That way I eat less of those things and what I do eat is good quality. emoticon

We've been pretty happy with our flat-top electric burners, no issues with scratching or burner malfunction. Of course ours is old-ish and we're looking to replace it, though now I wonder if we should just keep what's working... emoticon

I was never able to get used to electric stove tops. Hope you find a good solution.
