Revealing - my new tracker/new goals!

Wednesday, April 21, 2021

So I have a MAJOR NSV to share!!!

I decided to be brave and reset my goals to my FINAL weight goal which is 135 lbs. and gets me in by a smidgeon to my healthy BMI - so my ticker now reflects that. I've also changed final goal to December 31, 2021. Spark seems to feel this is doable. We'll see.

The goal of 148 (which I've had on my tracker since I decided to name NUMBERS that I am reaching for) was my marriage weight and where I felt comfortable in those days (30+ years ago).

I realized this morning that this new iteration of my journey really got started in March of 2020 last year when I read article by an ER doctor about even losing 10 lbs. helping with battling Covid, and since I was already doing everything else in the article, it helped me to push. I have an immune disorder and take meds which suppress my immune response much further, so I'm in a really high risk category and being morbidly obese felt like three strikes to me.

I have also internalized now that I have to have my cheat days and occasional treats, etc., etc. and that this will be an always, not a diet. I'm a turtle - slow and steady. Weight Watchers Blue. Eating ALL the things, but in moderation. In this past year, I went from close to 230 (or maybe a little above) in March of last year to my WI of 168.8 today.

There is no way I could have done this without the support of my BLC team - Azure Destinations. We have pushed and pulled each other through this heartbreaking last year. In addition to our thread activity, we've had zoom calls, game nights and anything else that can help this year be sweet in some way.

Having said that, this would be impossible without the incredibly hard work of the BLC Admin team, who not only provides an incredible container for our health goals, but also has put in wonderful challenges for our breaks, so we can stay connected and working.

SO grateful to one and all!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
