4/11 - 4/17 Weekly Recap: Tree Resiliency

Saturday, April 17, 2021

This week hasn't been the greatest for all my goals. I kind of slid on that. Things were just topsy turvy. I give myself a B minus for this week. I know this is a journey. This week was just frustrating and chaotic. I didn't get all my cardio in like I had hoped.. not that it is a specific goal. I had 4 days of activity with 2 days of cardio.

I had an idea for a blog that I wanted to discuss... it was really good, but I guess when I remember. LOL!

Trees.... I have an Ash Tree in my yard. I am concerned because it hasn't started to really bloom. I know typically it has started by now. I have two neighbors down the street who each had their Ash Trees taken down... I think the bad winter storm affected it. In taking my dog for a walk. I can see other Ash trees in teh same state and not quite blooming... I can see the buds.. I love this tree and I hope it will come back and that the distress from that storm and our low rain fall... that it will be bounce back. I just love that tree. I watered the tree this morning.

April goals:
1. gratitude journal every day -- a few days
2. art goal - twice per week none - once
3. ab exercises 3 times per week only twice
4. short arm workout / strength training 2 times per week done
5. Track water -- tracked one day.

Monthly goal:

Finish unit 3 in the art class -

Have a great week!

Im noticing all the plants seem late this year. Don’t know if it’s just my imagination cos it’s been colder than usual but with a couple of warmer days this week some are bouncing forward

I hope your tree is okay! Almost all of the ash in my region is being decimated by the emerald ash borers... We have a few in our forest we need to take down and turn to firewood ☹️

What I do love about tomorrow is that it is a new day and a new week and can be a new start. emoticon

Good job! It looks like it was a rough week for both of us, hmm? I met a few of my goals too this week despite everything. Here's to a better next week!
