Snacks and a pet peave

Ok, I copped this one off Facebook, because, seriously the struggle is real! I went to the grocery store after Pilates today. Yes, I was hungry and yes I said "NO" to so many snacks begging for my attention. I did a fair bit of hunger shopping, like 3 bags of salad. Lots of fruits and veggies. Checking out I eyed some chocolates and said no. It's kind of sad that I ate gummy vitamins to appease my need for a snack. Ok so part 2 of the title...pet peave. I have many pet peaves. I think it goes along with aging. So here goes... Why do people enter food items wrong. Read the numbers, copy the numbers into the template. It seems easy but I have seen a dozen or more wrong entries of the same food item. Ok, I'm going to lighten up now and go for a walk through my hood. Have a truly remarkable day!

    1 square of dark Lindt chocolate infused with hot chiles = 50 calories. So good for the soul!

    I buy some very high quality dark chocolate and eat it sparingly. It is not a high calorie treat and satisfies my sweet tooth. Two brandy beans ( chocolates, not beans), have only 76 calories. A square of a dark chocolate bar doesn't have many calories either. Chocolate is full of antioxidants. Enjoy!! emoticon

    Since my daughter started doing our grocery shopping, I eat much better! She never was a big snacker so if it's not on the list it isn't in the cart (or my stomache!) .

    Great job of loading up on produce instead of any junk items. I do almost always follow the golden rule of not going grocery shopping when hungry. That definitely helps!

    Actually, some (many!) manufacturers change the recipes on their products, so different nutrient counts. There should be a date (or something!) on the product entries so we can check against current intake. A can of regular coke used to be 150 calories, now 140, for example.

    My current anti-chocolate snack is 1 cup mixed berries (blackberry, blueberry, rapsberry combo) with 4 to 6 Tbsp of Reddi-Wip cream, about 130 calories and very filling for me.

    Pet Peave day!!! One of mine is when people just leave those grocery carts randomly scattered when it takes so little time to put in a rack!

    One PP I have is miserable people in a grocery store who get food and then leave it someone else in the store. It isn't so bad if they put frozen item back in the freezer, but when they leave them on a shelf so they get ruin, that really makes me mad.
