Make it Monday

Made it through the weekend, awesome storms all day yesterday, and now ready for fun. Did all my adulting stuff last night, so now just get to relax. Over the weekend I finally got my corridor fixed LOL I called it that. When I moved in I put up a fence and made it even with back of my house. Few months ago my neighbor put up a fence and took it almost all the way to the front of their house, so it made the side of my house look like it had a corridor. So finally I found somebody who could take down the back part of the fence and move it to the front, enclosing the corridor from the front. Looks better from the street now. So now I have an enclosed side yard that did not know what to do with. My son and I brainstormed and decided to plant citrus trees over there. It always is well watered thanks to my neighbors overwatering LOL I haven't had to water my yard in 2 years thanks to neighbors water habits. So today my daughter and I are going to go look for some patio size lime, lemon, and orange trees. Maybe a mango too if we can find one. Then we will plant them alongside the house and hope they grow
My home is only 3 years old now. We are the original owners. I love my house, even more so because I bought it all by myself. Growing up I always lived in cheap apartments with my mom and brother. I've been a single mom now for 24 years, and always believed I would just live in apartments. Surprised the heck out of me and my kids when I went to grocery store 4 years ago and came back owning a house LOL took about 6 months to build, but it was all ours. My son cried when we moved in because he was so happy. He never imagined we would own a home. He takes a lot of pride in helping me turn it into a nice home. My goal is to make it look like it has been here forever, warm, cozy, and welcoming. I like to fill it with little touches to make it look homey LOL don't really know how to say that. As a latchkey kid I grew up watching TV and I always liked the decor I would see when kids went to grandma's LOL the home looked complete, like it had been loved for a long time. That is what I am trying to create with my home. If that makes any sense. LOL I even just bought magnetic yard signs for front that say our name. One for each season
now I just have to learn to use my drill and I can placed decorations on outside of house.
So now I am just enjoying my coffee and planning my day. I need to take my vitamins soon. I think we are making spaghetti for dinner with a salad. Perhaps when out and about I should get a zucchini and make me some noodles from that. My daughter likes to turn the veggie thing that makes the noodles. I do too LOL it is small changes that add up.
Another nurse just did 5 weeks without bread for Lent and she feels amazing. She thinks she had undiagnosed gluten allergy. I am fairly certain I have that as well as my daughter, but it never causes us any tummy trouble, so I have never gone off bread and such. I really would like to though, just to see if it made us feel any different. It is just a lot of effort, I like easy stuff. I hope everybody reading this has a great day :) stay healthy.
