Just a little sun does wonders

Saturday, April 10, 2021

This morning I got the email that my Xanax was ready to pick up so I ran to town without a list but even remembered I needed butter. So I'm set for a while but have several running around things to do next week.

I finished the last of the cards today. Here is a photo of them all hanging on the design wall. Once I attach them to the card stock it would be hard to get a photo of them all. Tell me what you think.

Lah I've been in Washington several times for the Western Washington shop hop that usually starts the same as Row By Row and hope to be there about the same time this summer again. Looks like me kids have OK'd me to make the trip. Now I just have to be really careful with my money so I can drive. Hate being there without my car. Son lives in Renton and my daughter lives in South Park in Seattle.

Today even had a bit of excitement. The gal next door was outside with her little dog in the buggy (he's not allowed out) and brought him over to meet Buck...then this afternoon Buck's little friend from down the street knocked on the door and asked if she and her friends could play with him a while. When I got to the door one of the little girls was sitting on the ground holding Buck. He doesn't usually let other people touch him. Guess he likes kids better.

thank fulls
1. the cards are done
2. the sun was out
3. a whole day without a nap

The only goal for tomorrow is to put the binding on the quilt. Then I'll take all my wonderful projects to our first guild meeting since last Oct. and have them for show and tell. It will be so nice to be in a room with other people. Almost finished with the auction stuff them on to some covered journals for my son.

I love those cards. They will be nice on the card stock. It sounds like Buck had a very enjoyable day. I'm a day late with this as I was in Seaside Oregon for the weekend. I went to Cannon Beach to the quilt shop on Friday.

Love the the finished card fronts, they will be even sturdier once they are on the card stock.
Getting the binding on the quilt tomorrow will be a great feeling once that is done, the card stock on the cards and everything will be ready to send to Washington for the auction.
My shoulder was giving me grief today that I didn't do anything to do with lifting, holding anything heavier than a towel, and only did a bit of hand stitching this evening . It would have been nice to have done some exercise but taking the weekend off from doing any sort of real workout.
So off to Washington you go for a visit with your kids and grand kids, good for you. I understand wanting your car while your there, when everyone works. Having your car gives you the change to get out and do things during the day.
Buck is sure surprising you here lately actually letting others pet him. He likes kids is good, or at least he likes the attention, and that's a good thing too.
    Enjoy tomorrow.

The cards turned out beautifully - they will bring a lot of joy! I'm so glad your guild will be able to meet in person. There's nothing quite like being able to see each other's creations as well as all those smiling faces!

I love the cards. They will look mighty good on card stock. Sounds like you have a wonderful plan for travel. So glad the sun is finally shining. Certainly helps for the mind.
