What a Big Week!

I need a double weekend to recover from this week. It was all good, but it was a LOT!
On Tuesday, we birthed a new initiative at work that I've been working on for about 6 months. It's called Lending Circles, and it allows people to build their credit through zero interest loans. We are partnered with the Mission Asset Fund, which runs these programs all over the country. It's a fabulous program. We have 7 members in our first circle, and it's up and running April through October.
On Thursday, two big things happened. First, I got a "new" car. It's a low mileage 2012 Kia Soul with leather seats. It's in cherry condition with a perfect CarFax report on maintenance. I bought it through AAA, which is the ONLY way to buy a car. I got it for under blue book, and it was fully reconditioned before they would release it to me. It drives like a dream. It's the first time I've had the keyless entry/ignition. That takes a little getting used to, but I love not hassling with my keys. It's got bluetooth so I can listen to my podcasts on the speakers. I really love it.
The second thing that happened Thursday is that I got my new dog! She is so darn cute. Her hair looks wiry, but it's actually soft. She's almost 2, and she hasn't had any training. That's OK. Same thing with the last dog. I know how to do it. She loves belly rubs. Really loves them. The only reward she ever wants is a belly rub. She's about 22 pounds. I wish SparkPeople would let me upload the picture, but it keeps giving me an error. Just know that she's cute. White with red freckles. Adorable!
Finally, I'm finally getting the hang of using my new Power XL Grill/Air Fryer combo. It's so awesome. I'm making Chicken Chili Verde right now.
Hope you all had a great week!
