After reading Thoms1's blog about making the cover of Woman's Day and her sister SusieMT's journey, I decided to be more open in describing my personal information.

Updating 50 years of weight bouncing? Nope. Details of 9 months Sparking? not exactly. Hmm. In 1974, that's how long it took for my weight to go from 156 to 184. Then our 2nd son was born. Wow. His Honor is 100 lbs heavier than I was at full term. Then he only went to 175 with me and said, 'That's all I want to weigh.' emoticon

Around 1979, I needed to protect myself and started Tae Kwon Do with the family. Rapidly, the pounds flew off. At first, I would get home so exhausted that I went straight to bed without supper. When I wore new (flattering) clothes to work, I received a lot of attention from the factory guys. Oh, great, just what I didn't want. When a guy in class, started making unwanted advances, I quit. Looking back, I should have decked him. I only dream of looking and feeling like I did then. Maybe now, I'm old enough to let the guys know I'm a lot older than I look and I'm not interested in babies emoticon

Next year will be my 60th high school reunion (Covid permitting). I will look and feel as good or better than I did at my 40th. I am again wearing the clothes I bought on that trip,

Your Tae Kwon Do reminds me of my "anti mugger speed"
I don't know if I could fight off unwanted advances, but I hoped I could "outrun" him long enough to find a "big stick" That was always a joke in our house until one Sunday morning.

Our daughter a college freshman was out for a morning run when a guy got out of his car and grabbed her from behind. She elbowed her way free and RAN to the nearest 7-11 to find the cops.
Yes, they caught the guy and she agreed to testify. He was only charged with DUI because "she wasn't hurt"
So what? Next time he knows to find a weaker, slower victim.

    Thanks for sharing.

Glad you're looking and feeling good. emoticon

Uh, can relate to the unwanted advances. Have decked grown men for putting their hands where they don't belong. Yup. Have fought my way out of 'situations' more than once.

And, the sexual advances generally have nothing to do with babies ... I know you know that ... just felt a need to say it. Women are not objects of others' desires.
