After reading Thoms1's blog about making the cover of Woman's Day and her sister SusieMT's journey, I decided to be more open in describing my personal information.
Updating 50 years of weight bouncing? Nope. Details of 9 months Sparking? not exactly. Hmm. In 1974, that's how long it took for my weight to go from 156 to 184. Then our 2nd son was born. Wow. His Honor is 100 lbs heavier than I was at full term. Then he only went to 175 with me and said, 'That's all I want to weigh.'
Around 1979, I needed to protect myself and started Tae Kwon Do with the family. Rapidly, the pounds flew off. At first, I would get home so exhausted that I went straight to bed without supper. When I wore new (flattering) clothes to work, I received a lot of attention from the factory guys. Oh, great, just what I didn't want. When a guy in class, started making unwanted advances, I quit. Looking back, I should have decked him. I only dream of looking and feeling like I did then. Maybe now, I'm old enough to let the guys know I'm a lot older than I look and I'm not interested in babies
Next year will be my 60th high school reunion (Covid permitting). I will look and feel as good or better than I did at my 40th. I am again wearing the clothes I bought on that trip,
