A1c 7.5! small group training and med changes

My A1c is down to 7.5 from 8.1 a few months ago. Hurrah !!!
I’ve had some struggles with anxiety that might be due to my psychiatric meds: I was put on abilify in Jan, and it makes me want to eat everything and fidget and pick my nails and generally feel super anxious. I talked to my doc about it, and he is switching me to Latuda. So wish me luck !
Not much change in the weight area this week, but I am still doing my small group training and I know I’m putting on muscle from it. I’m just doing my best right now ... it’s hard, but so is staying on the couch.
I’m going to start counting calories and carbs again. I had success with it in the past. I plan to keep having a protein shake for breakfast and a low carb lunch/ snack in the afternoon, saving most of my carbs for dinner. I’m aiming for 2300ish cals per day, which would be a 10 lb loss per month. I’ll probably have a cheat meal once a week though, and will likely slip up once in a while — so I’d be more than satisfied with 8 lb per month !
I deleted all of the food delivery apps from my phone. I’m going to try my best to cook more and to keep easy snacks on hand. It’s going to be a difficult habit to break, but I must — I can’t afford it, and it’s impossible to track calories on big meals like that, not to mention the sodium and carbs...
