Over due update

At the start of each month, I think, Oh.. I'll post an update as a way for me to stay accountable and be able to look back over my own blogs and see how things progress.. and then life gets in the way. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to chat with my BLC Minion teammates daily on the chat thread (if I make it over there daily) for connection and personal updates.
However, I wanted to share an update for any others who might be out there reading.
I've been on WW for a month now and have lost right at 4 lbs! Which is amazing for me as I haven't made progress much this past year at all. This weight in puts me up ~5lbs from my weight last March 2020.
I'm feeling very good about the WW points system that allows me to have minor indulgences because I'm making really strong choices for meals and snacks!
In previous success, I have used SP to log food, but I've been terrible at doing that for the past few years and just can't seem to get my head and heart into that process. I'm feeling like this point system in WW is really helping me retrain and refocus my thoughts on food choices. I got my husband a few new cookbooks for his birthday that I hope brings new healthy food ideas into our family.
In other news, I had Lasik eye surgery last Thursday after wearing contacts/glasses for 34 years. I can now see beyond 6 inches in front of my face and see the world clearer than glasses or contacts ever were. (granted my RX was a little old).
I will need reading glasses a little, but I can get by most of the time.
So, due to the surgery I've been restricted in exercise to only walking (so dog and I still get our daily walk abouts) but I got the clearance today to exercise, just no high contact sports (she said boxing etc.)
I'm hopeful that now that I can ramp up my exercise again this week, I can make more significant progress in the next month before my birthday in late April. I would really love to be down ~10 lbs. that would be a HUGE lose for me and on the other hand I would be happy with an average of 1 lb/week. So I will do my best to stay focused and build on my positive experiences this past month.
My new favorite snacks;
green tea in the afternoon
herbal tea (Bengal spice) in the evenings after dinner (usually helps me tame the urge for a sweet).
My new favorite snack or breakfast..
Plain, non-fat greek yogurt
1 tbs of low sugar strawberry 'spread'/jam
2/3 cup of Fiber One Bran Cereal (18 gm of fiber!)
1 cup of thawed frozen blueberries.
This felt like such a treat yesterday and today!!

I recently restarted my gym membership thanks to daughter's interest and then we haven't been back.. so guess what? I'm going to MAKE myself go back to get my $$ worth. AND to indulge in the massage bed/chair I get with my member benefits.
