I have been going to physical therapy to strengthen my core, which I began at the end of January. It has been a long road since the surgery in October. First I had home physical therapy and occupational therapy.
This is definitely the best physiotherapy place I have been to in the last few years. The last one I went to was just plain rude to me. These people work with my limitations and I am so appreciative. I cannot lay flat on my back because when I do, I get up dizzy (the pills I have to take causes this). They work with that. Laying on my stomach makes my back worse. They work with that too. Thankfully, I can lie on my side.
Because I want to get stronger and more stable, I am doing my home exercises as well. It only helps!
Whenever we can travel again, I will be able to be stronger, more in balance and just better off.
I still have some pain when standing for a while in the kitchen. If I sit down for about 30 minutes, that helps. I believe that will get better too.
You have to want it and you have to do your exercises at home for this to work. The more I do, I hope to eventually lose weight. Being healthy is good even without losing weight. Life is good.
