Well, we were in the 70s and 80s last week. This week, cold raining, windy. I pulled out lighter clothes only to put back in the closet and get out the warmer sweaters and jackets for the rest of this week. The wet cold is just bone chilling to me and it takes me forever to get warm again. Thanks goodness that we got a new air heat unit this summer.. This one runs less and really keeps the house at an even temperature. Of course, the fact tact that we replaced the windows 2 years ago also helped. Between the 2 our electric bill runs between 50 and 65ndollars a month. I do not think that is bad for a 1900 square foot home. We had a smaller home , but older and our bill almost never dropped below $150 for the lower months. We have laughed that purchasing this home, the things we are saving money on is going a long way on the mortgage. The energy saving, the savings on the homeowner's insurance (due to age of home and location) and the lower auto insurance due to zip code.
