Laughter the best medicine for sure

I started watching a Mrs. Brown's Boy on YouTube. It's a little naughty but so funny. What a great distraction when I want to roam the kitchen, or while I am watching hubby watching curling (yes a Canadian pastime), I can watch on my laptop with headphones.

Our bedtime show is Superstore. Clearly I have lightened up my viewing.

Suggestions for other comedies?

I have rediscovered the old Frasier reruns. At least once an episode I laugh til my belly shakes and HAW out loud. My hubby is used to it now! I love the reruns of Friends, Cheers, and the King of Queens. A friend sent me a clip of a ventriloquist who had a mask she put on an audience member so she could make his mouth move and I swear every time I watch it I nearly wet my pants, and I know what is coming.
They say people have recovered from cancer just from watching funny shows and movies. It definitely is the best medicine. But even if it doesn't cure us, it certainly lifts our mood -- and we really need that now.

Oh, I do recall an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos where a little pig was picking up a pillow and flinging it around a room. The host said that it was an example of "hogging the pillow" and I burst out laughing.

Sounds wonderful! I am interested in watching Superstore myself. I would suggest The Good Place on Netflix and I also watch The Conners on Hulu. Don't know if you get those but thought I would throw those out there. Everyone seems to like The Good Place though.

I was a big fan of 'The Big Bang Theory' and it still has lots of reruns. I do still watch 'Young Sheldon' but I don't watch a lot of comedies as usually enjoy the FBI type shows.

Mrs Brown's Boys is one of my favorites...The English humor is sometimes beyond what we appreciate..but I have learned to enjoy most shows. There are so many to chose from but they do tend to like their mysteries...I got hooked on Midsummer Murders and have watched the entire show from season one on thru to the last that we get here on US tv.

You probably can’t appreciate curling if you have never played. Living on the prairies in the winter it was almost a necessity

I have seen a few episodes of Mrs Browns bonus. It is a hoot for sure and typical British humour. Someone told me Mrs. Brown is actually a man. I never confirmed it myself but I did trust the source.

I love my BritBox subscription! I confess, though, some of the comedies go over my head because I'm not familiar with the British idioms. But I do love the mysteries.
