Rolling Eyes

I am a reasonable and likable person until I feel disrespected. When that happens, well, I'm not so reasonable anymore.
Yesterday I went shopping in one of my favorite spots and was returning a shirt that did not fit. I did not have the paper receipt but bought it with my credit card for that chain store, and the receipt could be found easily most of the time. The new employee was having a difficult time locating my purchase and she mentioned that it would have saved her time if I had the receipt. I agreed with her. Obviously, this young cashier was frustrated, and she rolled her eyes. I just stood there quietly and patiently.

The store was not at all busy, and there was no one behind me in line at the check-out. Another employee came over to help her. Again, she rolled her eyes and look at me. I smiled back at her. My goal was to return the shirt and use the money on my next purchase. The cashier decided to take care of my sale, and I obliged. I had been at the check-out for 10 minutes at that point. All I could see were those rolling eyes.

Finally, I received the money for the return, and then I told the cashier that "rolling your eyes is a disrespectful way of telling someone just how frustrated you are with them". She denied the eye roll, and I walked out. I was NOT a happy customer.
