Un counting calories.

I am not counting calories as I try to lose my last 15 pounds. I stopped for several months trying to lose weight but luckily didn't put on more than the same 5 pounds over and over, I would lose, gain , back and forth. Now being serious again, 3 pounds lighter and feeling better..
But about not counting, but un counting. My husband lives to eat and loves to cook. I have had to say NO to the food the cooks for the most part or eat a very small portion. Mostly I try to adapt. So I didn't have a bun, 130 pounds saved. He made half pound hamburgers, I ate third pound turkey burger, that was close to 400 pounds less. No Mayo, no cheese, what another 150 calories. I realized why I can't lose weight by just cutting out sweets and eating the normal meals in this house. I am adding more veggies to my own meals, and if do eat the potato salad, or the pasta, I have a very small serving. I am also cutting out the red meat that is eaten almost every meal and having chicken or a piece of salmon. When I do eat it, I don't let him serve and I eat a very small bit.
