I felt I needed to blog today. I'm still searching for my "ah-ha moment. I see and hold a hope deep inside that I will wake up one morning and feel that it's all going to change from that moment on. My weight is going up( at least I feel like it. I no longer have a working scale). I just want to really be happy and have a good day.
I've been on SP way...too...long to just coast along watching everyone do "their own thing", and progress forward. I want to be on the winning list, not just sitting on the bench. I think one of the hardest things is that if not for Sparkpeople, ild have no one who I could talk to or who actually understand what I'm talking about. For those of you I'm grateful.
It's not like I dont know what needs to be done. It's when it needs to be done I freeze like a deer at night staring at a cars headlights frozen.
I dont know why i hesitate on moving. I'm always hurting when moving. Always tired. I give in and up easily. And yes, I've talked to Drs about all this and have been put on meds. I'm still floundering around waiting for something to happen to start turning everything around.

I don't think an epiphany is going to jump out and bite you. Taking small positive steps will help you to get where you want to be. Just live life to it's best you can. Take the exercise in small amounts until you can do more. I started out riding a bike for 5 minutes a day, and now I'm up to 15. I just increased it by 1 minute a week and believe it or not, with that plan it's been working.

When you hurt then stop. The next day try again and keep trying until it doesn't hurt. Try something simple, just like taking a soup can and doing bicep curls. Check out the challenges there is a great workout challenge that you don't have to them all but there are ones that you can do that you might not hurt doing them. Just try one at a time, then go from there.

I don't think there is an ah-ha moment for everyone. I think for those of us who have walked in this excess weight most of our lives we just feel at home. I know I have been afraid of the other side( health/thinner) I am worried that I can't do the hard work and to be honest I will miss the ease of just eating what I want, when I want!! I'm not saying I'm not sick of being fat. But I have to be honest with myself about why I stay on this side instead working to get to the other side. Everyday I can choose. Choose to stay or choose to move forward. I wish you all the best in your journey emoticon
