Treadmill (aka: Dreadmill)

When weather doesn't allow for walking outside, I like to hop on my treadmill. It used to have the nickname that many do have, the dreadmill. I won't lie, I would dread getting on it for my walk. My other ones would collect dust or having items hanging from it. My current one has a screen on it so I could actually watch a movie while I walked. I would plug in my headphones and off I would go. Since it was an older model, it didn't take long for the software to be out of date. My treadmill no longer could support watching movies. I have always had my treadmill in the area where I could see the tv. Walking in the morning made it hard. I didn't want to wake my kids with the tv being so loud. With this, it got to be the dreadmill once again. With my goal of doing loving movement every day last year, I forced myself to get on. How could I get to enjoy my walks and see it as more of a positive? I decided to invest in a pair of wireless headphones I could hook up to the tv. This has made a huge difference for me. To help boost the walking motivation, I let myself watch certain shows only while I walk on the treadmill. For example, my watch list on two different streaming channels is only allowed to be watch while I am on the treadmill. I have watched a few series this way. People have said that takes some willpower to only watch then. It does but it is also very motivating. I will do what I can to make the time enjoyable. I can honestly say, I look forward to my time on the treadmill right now. It has gone from dreadmill to my friend the treadmill.
Here I am sporting my headphones while walking and watching Virgin River.
Again, Thor trying to figure the treadmill out so he can walk. I don't take him on the road much now due to the cold, snow, ice, and salt. I have heard of dogs with injured paws from all that. Instead, we play numerous hours of fetch.
