Don't let anyone/anything take away your sparkle

I just posted this to my Hula Hoop for Fun & Fitness team. We are having a challenge of HOPE that started on the 4th. The H was for Healthy living and this week was all about optimism. Never did I realize when I made this challenge, we would see the horrible threats to America that we have. So I just felt I should share this challenge post and have it where I could refer back to it when I need it.
I hope this week's challenge finds you happy and well. It has been a tough week. I look at optimism and I think that I am, but at the same time, I see where outside influences really affect our enthusiasm. It is a very horrible time for America, but what I want to focus on in this challenge is learning how to love ourselves enough to not let anyone/anything take away our sparkle. If we do, we can not be true to ourselves or our loved ones. I have been thinking a lot about the type of person I want to be. I want to be strong and healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, and Spiritually. Isolation has taken away a lot of support that we enjoyed and needed to be strong. So I encourage you today, to look at yourself and ask am I being the person I would love to spend time with? Am I the person I want to be? For me, I thought yes to the first question. The second, I had to ponder. When was the last time I wore makeup? Especially lipstick. Why bother, the mask will cover it. When is the last time I dressed a little nicer? I am enjoying the T-shirts. (Nothing wrong with that). The last week as the weather dipped below freezing, when was the last time I felt like getting out of pajamas? Even the days I did get out of pajamas, I didn't want to. lol. I challenge you to look at the healthy life you want and the optimism you want to have. Make changes, not in a beat-up-yourself type of way, but a loving, fun way. Life SHOULD be FUN. So let's see where we can turn up our optimism by having fun. I just got done with Holly Dolke www.youtube.com/
walking routine. Her stuff is tough, but enjoy it and laugh at yourself while on the ground panting. I wish you some fun today and keep looking for silver linings. Here is another walking video a little more doable. lol. www.youtube.com/
