New doctor, new food, new perspective?

I saw the new orthopedic doctor today. The MRI and X-rays I had done a year ago didn’t show much structural damage, just some tendinitis in the shoulder. Solution: an injection and physical therapy, and return in 8 weeks. However, while the doctor was using the ultrasound on my shoulder for the injection he noticed more extensive fraying of the supraspinitis tendon... which he said could be indicative of increasing damage. The PA and the doctor both were so much more professional than the one I saw before. They took time to talk to me, and both examined my shoulder and my range of motion and strength. I was much happier with the visit than I was with the previous doctor that I saw.
On the way home my brother (my taxi driver for the day) decided we should stop at Chipotle for lunch. I got a bowl, which is my usual choice. But they now have lime-cilantro riced cauliflower that you can get instead of rice! So, I got that. I really, really liked it (though if you are one of those people genetically predisposed to tasting soap when you eat cilantro this is not for you!). I don’t get a lot of extras like cheese on mine, so my calculations put it at around 575 calories (because I got guacamole... yum). And we stopped at the grocery store when we got back to our town. I got shirataki soup packet to make Tom Yum soup, and a box of snickerdoodle ice cream... lol. I was doing good until I got to the ice cream... I have had the ice cream before and it is really good.
I had a good day today. I was up too early (4:30am), but I made good use of my time, and got in a workout before dad got up. And then after he got up we walked the pups, on our long, brisk morning walk. Switching the calendar from 2020 to 2021 doesn’t mean much to me, but having one good day after a string of difficult days is good for my perspective on pretty much everything. I am back to feeling pretty good. The week long migraine and the UTI that came after that are both history. Isn’t it amazing how feeling physically better can change how events feel?
Wherever you are in the world I hope you have a marvelous day!
