Ran my monthly 5K!

Well, as per usual, I didn't set out to do my 5k today. Rainy and windy this morning and was waiting for a break in the rain mid-day, but after creating the habit of morning exercise.. Sitting at the desk and working non-stop till 11 and I needed a BREAK.. and so did the dog.
So I told him I would get dressed.. he waits outside bathroom, knowing I'm getting ready.
We took off for our 'less hilly' 2 mile route, but we were feeling pretty good, so I decided to do a loop instead of an out and back and in my mind thought it would be close to 3 miles. Had to walk up a LONG steep hill. And we had to do a little 'out and back' past our turn off home, and I misjudged and so we ended up with 3.26 miles.
We are "slow as molasses" as I like to say, but we get the heart rate up and get our exercise and stimulation and not puppers is tuckered out and I can sit and work the rest of the day.
Now that I've met my monthly goal of 5k once a month.. the rest of the month can be back to building conditioning on our 2 mile routes, although I like that 3 mile route too.. so maybe new goal to try it once a week?
