My two left feet.

Monday, December 14, 2020

Over the course of the last 15 months, I have achieved a lofty accomplishment: my very own personal trifecta! It was not my goal; it was purely accidental.

My trifecta: break, sprain, strain.

Break: during yoga class, I tripped over my own two feet, and went tumbling. Down I went, a wall broke my fall and my left humerus.

Sprain: leaving physical therapy for my broken humerus, my feet became entangled in a wire. Down I went, landing on my left wrist. Nothing broken, but severely sprained.

Strain: with gyms closed and the great outdoors beckoning, I have endeavored to walk every day. My route has become familiar; maybe too familiar. During a walk last week, I failed to pick my foot up high enough to avoid a curb. Down I went, landing on my left side with my bad arm and wrist stretched out in front of me, severely straining my rib muscles (it only hurts to breathe, cough, sneeze, and raise my left arm.)

The bright side? I achieved a trifecta! Also, I learned several lessons: go slow, watch where I step and pay attention.

With my two left feet, I think it is best if I skip taking tango lessons.

When I started to read I was waiting for the inspirational trifecta . Getting ready for that awe inspiring nugget of information you would give me . I started to laugh . Your thoughts are so comical . I am sorry you accomplished the trifecta . I hope you don't mind if I try never to accomplish your lofty feat . And please don't take this personally , But , I would be a little nervous to be your walking partner . All of my best thoughts .
