A hike in late November at my favorite state park!
Sunday, November 29, 2020
Happy Sunday friends! We don't often have warm temps and no snow on the ground here in Minnesota this late in the season but it was almost 50 degrees and the sun was shining. Hubby and I had planned a hike for Saturday and friends thought it would be fun to have a socially distant hike with masks on so off we went! Please enjoy my hike! I know I did! It's hard to see if everyone is in the photo when the sun is shining right in your eyes! But we tried! LOL At least my hubby's forehead was in the pic.
People had taken pieces of ice and stood them up and with the sun shining on them, they were stunning!
What a perfect day for a kayak ride. The water was so calm!
We started at 11am, had a picnic lunch outside at about 230p after our first portion of the hike was done, and then went to the lake side for a 2 mile hike next to the water. It was so much fun, the day was absolutely gorgeous and we all enjoyed being together for a few hours while staying safe!
I hope you enjoyed by hike. Be safe and enjoy this last Sunday of November!
Spark on!

I can't hike anymore. It used to be a favorite activity. I surely love your pics and sharing yours vicariously. I hope it was as fun as it looked! 24 days ago

What a wonderful time! You are so right by now you'd probably have a foot of snow on the ground. I know that it was really great to see your friends/and or family. You took some beautiful pictures.
We also are having unseasonably warm weather. We were a bit cooler until late afternoon. I think I truly would of enjoyed walking outside.

It certainly has been a warm November here in Pensacola, Fl on the Gulf Coast. Sad to have Hurricanes in November although the season can go that late, the heat factor was one of the main issues. 55 days ago

It looks like a wonderful hike, Holly and it's so nice that you could do something together with friends, especially when that's so hard to do right now in most settings. You found a way to be with friends, get in exercise, and enjoy the beauty of nature. A trifecta!

Thank you! Your beautiful pictures brightened my morning.
You have quite an artist's eye. Kudos to whomever arranged those pieces of ice. Absolutely stunning!
Almost 50? You guys are tough up north. I'm trying to convince DH that a canoe excursion this afternoon (almost 60 degrees) would be nice. We will see. Our kayaks are tucked away on shore til spring. Too close to the water to avoid splashing from speeding jetskis or fishing boats (looking for fast fish, maybe?)
