Thankful For (2020 Edition)

Instead of writing each day of November, I wrote down my thankful list all in one day. The first 26 were posted on Thanksgiving day (yesterday).

Thankful For (2020 Edition)
1. The LORD being on His throne.
2. My family: Kent, Trey, Mama 💚, Daddy, my sisters Brea and Brooke and their families, my in-laws, and cousins.
3. My best friends Patti and Robin.
4. My country. I sometimes get choked up during the national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner” is played. 🇺🇸
5. Military personnel, police officers, fire fighters, nurses, doctors, EMTs, and all other first responders who run TO danger to save our lives. 🏆
6. My work at school with youngsters on good, bad, and in-between days.
7. My co-workers who lift me up and make me laugh.
8. My choir buddies who I have missed while sitting out this semester.
9. My beloved former students who get why I was tough when we worked together on a daily basis. And those lambs who still struggle with structure.
10. Walking in the mornings to count bunnies or squirrels, depending on the time of morning.
11. Good books to read.
12. My coffee in the morning. A cup of hot tea when it’s cold.
13. Baking cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, or quick bread for my family and friends.
14. My iris plants when they bloom each spring.
15. Bluebonnets blooming along Texas highways.
16. Horses. They are simply gorgeous creatures. I’ve never owned one, but I love them.
17. NCAA football during autumn weekends. Especially Aggie football. Whoop!!
18. Nail polish colors. I always have my toes painted, and my hands are usually painted.
19. Cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, etc.
20. Crossword puzzles.
21. March Madness (NCAA basketball-men’s and women’s tournament)
22. Roller skating or roller blading.
23. Wildflowers.
24. Photographs of nature.
25. Paintings of nature.
26. Popcorn - I love to eat it!

Friday, November 27
27. Music - rock and roll, jazz, sacred hymns, some country, "oldies" from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
