Thanksgiving 2020

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving 2020 is on the books. It was a bit different than normal. We did not have as many people here as we usually do. I knew my older niece and nephew wouldn't be coming. In September I had already told my extended family that I was having immediate family only this year. They understood and were actually planning on doing their own thing.

Only 7 of us were here. I cooked enough for an army (so it seems). We will be eating off leftovers for the next few days. My brother and my mom both commented how nice it was to get together. They also commented how nice it was to have a nice home cooked meal. (They can cook, just don't really like to.) We really haven't been together since last Christmas. Sure we have celebrated birthdays, Mother's Day, and Father's Day with a take out meal outside. It just wasn't the same. It was very good for my soul to have my family over.

My kids are now with their dad to celebrate. My dogs are sleeping being they are tuckered out from the company. It is a quiet evening for me to think about starting to decorate for Christmas.
