Thanksgiving Prep
Wednesday, November 25, 2020
My daughter and I have started prepping for Thanksgiving tomorrow. The house is picked up so we have just to vacuum and deal with dishes tomorrow morning. Pies are baked. Turkey is thawed. Cranberry sauce is made. I have also figured out what time everything needs to go into the oven. I will make the peanut butter pie in the morning. We are having my parents, my brother, 1 niece, and my son over. It will be a total of 7 people. I do have Tupperware ready in case my parents are not comfortable coming over. I will then drop a meal off at their place.
As per tradition, we are watching Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving. We started this years ago when my kiddo were young. One of the episodes is about the Mayflower. This was a great way to learn some history. It is something my kids have enjoyed watching for years. My daughter come to the living room with the copy after our prepping was done for the night. We are just missing my son. Like a lot of things in my house (I promise I am not that weird), many of my kids' friends have never watched this DVD. Both Thanksgiving episodes total 40 minutes.
What a great way to end the day, cooking with my daughter and watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Life is good. Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate.
