Finding the Positive

One of my recent goals has been to see the positive in my life. I get so busy that I fail to acknowledge all of the many things for which I am grateful. However, when life becomes difficult, I find this almost impossible to do without a conscious effort and a kick in the behind to stop looking at what is wrong, and find what is right.
When I do this it is much easier to work through the situation. Recently, I have hit a rough patch, and this is coming up as a reminder that although I need to be available to others, it is not necessary, or productive to take it all on.
The negativity effects me. I become a person I do not like. Yet, if I find something good I try to take hold of that and resolve any issues which arise. Sometimes I have to dig deep. Others, I have to simply walk away and process.
I am blessed with wonderful support system. However, there are times when I need to do it alone. These are some of the rare times I feel lonely. Although I spend and enjoy being alone I am not lonely. I always come out on the other side with some new perspective and a much more positive outlook.
It is a spiritual journey for me. In my imperfection I fail to live what I believe. This circles back to the beginning. Positive mindset and Gratitude.
