A new day & able to breathe

Wednesday, November 18, 2020

After I posted yesterday's blog, I felt much better as the day went on. The supportive notes from my Sparkfriends were extremely helpful. The extra sessions of meditation were helpful. The "letting go" of things was helpful.

On days like that, something usually comes out of it in the future that I am not aware of. Case in point being a phonecall after the Monday Meeting, led to a report being made by yours truly...which was then sent along as a solution to a problem. I asked for input after I wrote it, received none, and then low and behold, I'm CC'd on an email that was pretty darned inportant...my words as the cornerstone of a corrective action. Go figure. I have to remember to let things go and truly just follow my gut, even when it's all twisted up.

Speaking of that, I looked at my planner and noticed a doctor's appointment set for Dec 16. I was supposed to see her after a mammogram screening, but I don't have an appointment for that set up and well, time is a-tickin'! So I called the doctor's office. Not only did I have the wrong date in my planner, it seems like they dropped the ball on setting my mammo up! Totally gut instinct on that one...it was bugging me for a few weeks and was on the follow-up list, I just happened to do it then.

Same thing with my son's financial aid account...he's registering for classes and I asked about his loan. We reviewed it and discovered that he missed his first payment by 2 days! (kinda had a feeling about that) I rectified it within minutes, set up a recurring payment, and we moved on.

As the saying goes "hindsight is 20/20"....so true, especially when the clouds break and you can see the blue sky again.

Perspective reset. Gratitude in practice. Self-care in the forefront.

All the rest will fall into place.
