Spoiled

Boy have I gotten spoiled with my online shopping. It is so nice to sit at my table or on my couch to do my grocery shopping. The next morning I merely drive over, text them I am there, and they bring it out to my car. The only real work I have to do is bring the groceries in and put them away. Today my company is closed due to the federal holiday. My daughter and I decided to go get what we could for Thanksgiving groceries. First of all, they rearranged the store on me! How dare they? Lol. I am one who knew the aisles and make my list accordingly if I needed to go in. It feels like they made the aisles smaller (as in not as wide). I am sure this is my imagination. Then the people! I was amazed how many were there on a Wednesday afternoon. I felt like it was a Saturday morning when I used to go. There were fewer cashiers however and we had to wait in line longer. My daughter said how this seemed like more work. I laughed at her and told her how we have gotten spoiled. Anyway, we now just need to get the fresh food for Thanksgiving.

    I feel your pain , I am immune compromised so I have to send my grocery list with my husband he is not a shopper he said Make the lists so I can just go down the aisles and pick things up.I said "How do you want me to do that I have not been in a grocery store since February and they have changed them 6 times since then" He didn't believe me so he asked in the store and the cashier said "They are in the process of changing them a seventh time for Christmas but your wife was dead on yesterday!"

    How dare they move the aisles around, now your looking all over to find what you need. I hate when they do that, just get to feeling comfortable knowing where things are, they go and to get the customers messed up again by changing things up.
    Great for you having a great jump on getting much of your Thanksgiving groceries bought.
    You would think by now that grocers would have figured out that the stores would be busy when some places let their employees off on today's holiday and would have had a few more cashiers working. A lot of federal employees are generally off and that is a good number of people, along with other companies.

    Our store offers the drive up and pay for it (if it's not already, most are) and OFF YOU GO!! It's very popular. But, still many (myself included) really like going on and making our own selections. Today I wanted a certain cut of meat, size, shape. I got it too! WOOHOO AND ON SALE.

    Many people who work in the stores are scared, or have family members, children who have to be quarantined until a test comes back. We are being hit HARD with that. And PANIC shopping is starting to hit also. SIGH that's so hard.

    SO GLAD you had the day OFF!! WOOHOO!! EAH YEAH YEAH!!

    My older daughter made an aisle by aisle inventory of her Kroger and Publix and a map of the items she bought at Walmart when she lived in Auburn, AL. They moved to a medium sized city in KY which had a nice Kroger and she amended it. They moved to a small city in TN and they have a Walmart and a small chain store. She was one of the first to use the Walmart order system before the Covid 19 isolation befell us. She loves it. My wife hates shopping in Walmart and we do not have the order sytem working properly yet.
