Numbers on the Rise

Monday, November 09, 2020

Covid numbers are on the rise in my state. The hospitals have put the visitor limits back in place. A local elementary school is going full distance learning as of tomorrow. Another school is going to the hybrid model soon too. I expect the rest of the schools will close by the end of the week. Tomorrow our governor is going to announce new restrictions. He says these will be targeted to a certain age range. Sounds like something with bars and restaurants are included too. The highest growing population testing positive is the 35 years old and under crowd.

I can either worry about it all or deal. No sense in worrying about it so I shall "deal" with it. I will keep up washing my hands, wear my mask, getting my rest, drinking my water, exercising, and trying to fill my body with good fuel. I will continue on my on-line shopping and curbside pick-up (that really has spoiled me).

With a possible 2nd shutdown, people are shopping in droves again. Maybe it is the impending winter weather.

Hoping you all stay healthy.

Numbers are suddenly skyrocketing for Maine. We WERE the 2nd to the lowest state in cases. Three weeks ago we averaged 18 to 44 a day, today 204. Governor Mills immediately said "no bars reopening" they were due on the 2nd to. She's keeping many things closed or very limited on being open. Face masks have been mandated since April they are now as of Friday even outside unless on private property.

Hopefully our numbers will go back down. I live in the worse county in Maine, and sadly for us, in the worse area of the county. A good 99% of us wear the masks if we like them or not (Does anyone really like them? DOUBT IT!) but we do not want each other to get sick. Maine is small enough to care about that. The tourists, not so much, but most of them are done now. It'll be mostly the ones for winter sports once the snow falls, oh it's deer season, but those are mostly Mainers too.

All we can do at this time you outlined. An article yesterday said they are using a drug to help moderate the effects once you have them. On TV tonight there was a segment on Fiser having a drug that keeps you from getting 19 and they will have enough by Christmas to treat 25 million and next year a billion
