Busy Friday

Friday, October 23, 2020

Today is packed full.

Woke up, did my 12-minute pilates ab video. My abs are sore from yesterday, this is definitely in the rotation now.

2 loads of laundry while making breakfast & cleaning the kitchen and answering work email and sparking.

1 mile walk with dogs. I call it their sniffing walk. It's not super aerobic, but they get to get outside and not lose their doggie minds from boredom.

Errands. Picking up some books from a friend's porch,
Going to the bank to *finally*finally*finally* end things with the trust. This will help me sleep better at night.
Dropping off clothes that are too big to a donation center

Phone clients throughout the day, from my home 'office'. It's a corner of the bedroom we've had to convert due to COVID. Thank god I can do my job with a phone and a tablet.

A 90-minute bike ride this afternoon. I am taking it sort of easy because my husband and I are planning a hill ride tomorrow. Where I live is very flat, so we have to literally drive to hills, or it's a 22-mile ride just to get to hills. I was all for riding our bikes there, but he said I'd be wiped out after the hill portion and wouldn't want to ride home. My thought is that if I have no choice BUT to ride home, it doesn't matter, but he's got this thing about me not burning out? LOL

Filling out FAFSA forms with my child. My daughter decided to graduate from high school at 16, so I was woefully underprepared to set her up for community college. We are learning together.

Smoked salmon, rice cakes, and fruit ( 2 Kiwis, 1/2 cup of blueberries and raspberries) for breakfast, along with my collagen black tea.
3 oz tri-tip in my large salad today for lunch ( arugula, beets, shredded carrots, maple vinaigrette)
baked falafel salad for dinner ( red onion, spring salad mix, tomatoes from the garden, a shake of feta, cucumbers, and yellow peppers)
vegan protein shake and Asian pear for snack.

It's a good day.

Look at how casually you threw in "drop off clothes that are too big." That's awesome!

A sniffing walk with your dogs can be so therapeutic, for all involved. It's a chance for YOU to slow down and sniff, too!

Aww I remember FAFSA forms. Glad that's been done and over with for a long time now. One piece of advice, have her look into local scholarships. Many places offer this if you do the research and find them. Some of them are small but some are a decent amount. She can still apply for these I think. Also look into the grants and she if she qualifies for any. These were things we weren't told when my son when to college.

Wow, congrats on your daughter’s early graduation from HS! That is amazing!

I hope you have a great ride today! Memphis is all hills, all the time. I despise them but know they are making me a better rider. Y’all have fun!

    Happy Friday!
