My NSV and My Fall Workout Playlist!
Tuesday, October 20, 2020
This past weekend I achieved a goal that I wasn't sure would ever happen! Back when quarantine started in March, I decided to give trail running a shot. I've started the C25K training program multiple times and never followed through. This time around, I decided to take this really slow and repeat each week a total of four times so that I really started to develop my muscles. I haven't been perfect AT ALL over these past few months. I've missed weeks of jogging, had weeks where I only went once or twice, etc. I even had to take about a month off when I came down with Lyme disease. But I didn't give up. Whenever I could, I got back to it.
I haven't been jogging as much since school started, but I have been making sure I get out on the weekend. This past Saturday I went to do the 2 mile loop at my favorite park. Up until now, I've been doing walk/jog intervals that have been increasing over time. But this week I actually managed to run for 1.5 miles!!! I honestly don't think I have ever done that in my life. In school, I was always one of those people that couldn't run the mile without stopping. I'm SO PROUD. This experience has really reiterated that it's not about perfection. It's all about remaining consistent and not giving up over a long period of time.
In honor of October and spooky season, I also thought I'd share my fall playlist. It's definitely got spooky vibes, and this is what I listened to while I did my jog this past weekend. If you're looking for something different to workout to, give some of these songs a shot!
