Monday. Work. Snow. I'm not ready with getting the leaves off the ground! Hustled my butt to get the last of the logs into the backyard and stacked into woodpile fashion. It will be snowing tomorrow but if it's nice any time this week, I need to use the chainsaw hopefully one last time on the remaining branches, do the leaves which have fallen on my acre+, winterize any small engines and put out mouse poison in my sheds.
For those wondering from yesterday's post what I used as the "sauce" on my Crock-Pot ground beef, oregano, garlic, and cubed zucchini chunks, wonder no more. I used mustard. It was really good. I love when random attempts at food work out!!
For tomorrow, I'll be making a new (Keto) favorite. This chicken is so flavorful! I made an entire family pack of chicken thighs (twice!) and froze the leftovers. Still juicy and delicious. Oh, and did I mention this is a Crock-Pot / slow cooker recipe? www.sugarfreemom
I need to buckle down and order a new oven. When my refrigerator went out in June, I got swept up in purchasing and bought an oven that I'd call "functional art", only to justify the expense! I bought the floor model to save an extra thousand dollars, if that says anything. At any rate, the floor model, once installed at my house, didn't work. The six-burner range was great but the oven and motherboard were shot. I sent it back for a full refund and haven't gotten around to researching the next oven. Wayyyy to many choices. I've been living just fine with my microwave, George Foreman grill, and my Crock-Pot/slow cooker. Well, the microwave fritzed out last night so I tossed it today. Now I'm down to a Crock-Pot, George Foreman grill, and a coffee pot!!! Time to figure things out. It would not be so bad if A) I knew if I wanted gas versus electric B) I knew what color I wanted to go with in my not-yet-renovated kitchen and C) If my kitchen wasn't four-steps from my Living Room in open-concept and the oven didn't need to look nice.
