Serenity Sunday
Sunday, October 18, 2020
I love Sundays! It is a day that I have come to devote to only those things that help me feel serene. No demands. No expectations. No chores. No cooking. Only those activities which nurture me and fill my "bucket" for the upcoming week.
I spend most of the morning trying to evaluate where I have been during the past week in remaining committed to and achieving my goals. Then I develop a strategy plan for the upcoming week. Sounds great, doesn't it?! It has not actually gone so smoothly. I have been hanging on by a thread; just on the edge of feeling out of balance. I have made no progress towards my goals in months despite my Habit Tracker. I seem to be just going through the motions. Not pushing myself too hard because I already feel the underlying current of stress that resent events of the pandemic and presidential election have brought on.
But enough is enough. I have read some very inspirational blogs recently. I also ran across a statement from last year that went something like "You are at your lowest weight for this year" (or something close to that idea). Last year I didn't believe it, but recent months have added back the 10# I worked to hard to achieve. The end of this year will not be a repeat for me.
My plan is set for this coming week - Fitness Goals are at the top of my list! I am not a quitter.
