It's working!!!

Monday, October 05, 2020

So in a previous blog entry, I mentioned how I'm trying something new. It has similarities to the Warrior Diet version of intermittent fasting. I eat little to nothing in the morning, I have a small lunch. So by this time I've only had 300-500 calories for the day. Then I have a large dinner. Around 1000 calories. I might eat something around 8 or 9 at night if I'm feeling hungry still. I find that 2 hard-boiled eggs really do the trick for me here, and that's it. I stay within my calories and make good food decisions while still not depriving myself.

So far this has kept me from bingeing for 5 days straight. For me that is amazing. Before this, if I went more than two days without a binge that was an accomplishment. I started this on Tuesday and checked my weight yesterday. Down 6 lbs already! I know that the first week is usually a big week, but still excited, though my official weigh-in is on Thursday. This is something that for me is so far working. It's easy to stick to, and I can see it being a practical thing for me as time goes on.

In other news, my Smart Fitness Tracker came in the mail today. It's like a cheaper FitBit. After I figured out how to set it up and charged it, it was already after 5 pm, but I'm excited to see how things look tomorrow. It tracks my steps, mileage, calories burned, it tracks my sleep, and has an alarm that I can set to go off if I've been inactive for the amount of min I choose. All packed into a cute little purple watch.

I'm so glad to hear you found an eating routine you are happy with and is working! Not everyone can eat one set way, I think it's great you tossed the normal aside and determined your needs to be successful.

It's great that you're finding what works! I love my Fitbit. I hope yours motivates you as much as mine motivates me!
