Weekly Recap 10.4.20
Sunday, October 04, 2020
Well I started the week overeating, thinking that I wasn't eating "that much". Well Tuesday I started tracking my food again, and just as I really had known I was consuming more calories and carbs/sugars that I should be. Around 1900 calories and over 175 carbs.
Wednesday I started eating healthier and logging all my food. Being aware made quite the difference! While I went slightly over on calories my carbs were under 50.
By Thursday, Friday, and the weekend I was planning and preparing healthier meals and snacks. Carbs are running around 75 which isn't too bad, since I do enjoy bread from time to time. And eating healthier also needs to have balance so I don't feel deprived.
I also joined the Fall 5% Challenge. This has me reaching for hitting my team goals and I've been getting in more walking then I had said I would for the week. All in all I'm feeling pretty positive and hope that my weigh in on Friday shows my efforts too.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping with my granddaughter and we picked up plenty of fruits and vegetables! I bought so many I even sent some home with her to share with the family.
Wednesday I go in for my flu shot and next week I have my annual checkup. Hoping all these things together will help get me back on track!
I've promised myself I'm going to do weekly recaps on Sunday so I can compare what I'm doing well at, and where I need to direct my focus.
My son also let me know that baby Hazel is up to 4 lbs 4.9 ozs and Dr said if she continues with her progress she may be able to go within the next two weeks. I'm so happy with the progress she has been making, but I also know that she has a ways to go.
Looking forward to the week ahead! 😁
