A foggy morning hike at William O'Brien state park
Sunday, September 27, 2020
Good Sunday morning dear spark friends! Yesterday was cool and overcast. We decided to go back to one of the state parks we visited a few weeks ago and do a different hiking trail. Unfortunately, the map is a little bit confusing, so for the majority of the hike, my husband was a little frustrated as he really likes to know exactly where we are, I just enjoyed the views and the birds singing to us! Come along and enjoy a beautiful foggy, dewy hike!
this adorable little ceramic deer was just at the head of the trail that we didn't even notice going in, but I had to take a pic when I saw it at the end!
This was our view for our picnic lunch. It was amazing how the reflections from the trees were so vivid in the water.
I hope you enjoyed the virtual walk, we ended up doing about 6 miles in a little over 2 hours. It was absolutely wonderful. Just as we finished up our lunch, it started to sprinkle so it was time to head home.
Enjoy your Sunday friends. Find something that makes your heart happy!
Until next time, spark on!
Beautiful hike! I'm like your husband, I want to know where I'm going. We got lost once in the woods, sign markers were mixed up and got out just as it turned dark. Was only going to do a mile walk and ended up doing 4 miles. Good thing we had water with us! 211 days ago
Beautiful pictures! It makes me homesick for getting back to Minnesota to visit family and explore some of the parks. The last time I was back, I explored a couple of the county parks in Isanti County, where I was born and raised and a couple in SE Minnesota. There are so many fun parks to explore. 224 days ago
Outstanding photos Holly. I felt like I was there with you enjoying the day! So glad you got a chance to run away from home and go hiking! So good to be with nature sometimes. Fall is so pretty there! 230 days ago
Beautiful photos. My husband and I went for a drive this morning and ended up at a park in Isanti County. It was a very nice park that we will definitely visit again. And Daisy thought it was so much greater than our regular walk. Thanks for sharing your walk. 230 days ago
Hi Holly, I love the tree reflections on the water. Perfect! You are an awesome photographer. Every picture is great to see. Sorry about the rain. Bless you and your husband. Thank you for sharing. Hugs and smiles 231 days ago
That looks like a good hike. It can be a little unnerving not knowing where you are, so I understand your hubby's frustration. That would bother me too. The view of the lake with the reflection of the trees is so cool!
Very happy you enjoyed such stillness! WOW. tour. Thank you so much for all the delightful details captured. Extremely enjoyable for us too. Have a peaceful yet cheerful Sunday. 231 days ago
Such beautiful pictures, for bringing us along. My hubby is the same as yours, he likes to know where he is too and probably reacts the same when the markings are not clear. Looking forward to your next walk! 231 days ago
