September 10, 2020 - A day with no plans
Thursday, September 10, 2020
Feeling better today, made myself a huge egg, bacon, squash, kale, tomato, parsley, chive, potato and red pepper 'jumble'. I don't cook it all the way through - split it into 3 luncheon plates with a grated cheese and zap one in the microwave to eat. Then I wrap the other 2 for the next 2 mornings. So efficient, so easy to reheat and eat.
I got up early, knowing the day had no schedule other than I need to water and perhaps putter in the gardens. For sure a delightful day and hopefully will allow me to stretch and move in a helpful way. I am glad to NOT be driving up the freeways to Central / Northern California...as the air here is fairly clear with our 1 big fire getting contained. We were blessed with no Santa Ana winds to speak of, while the rest of Cali ignited anew. It is the worst...climate change is affecting us all drastically. I am committed to working toward solutions.
And I scored Tuesday night...my Chiropractor recommended I get rid of the mattress topper on my bed so I found someone to take it away. Does anyone else have the Facebook site called Buy Nothing? My community actually has 3 different ones...though I belong to the original Scripps Ranch Buy Nothing. Posted the topper and 3 people interested and I picked one and they picked it up immediately. While on the site, someone posted a bag of fancy chocolates and I scooped them up as the lady 'flash gifted' to the first person...ME. Now that the tummy is doing better I can enjoy some treats.
Tomorrow will be busy with a Chiro appointment, a noon-time environmental zoom call featuring Erin Brockovich [the activist] and my first acupuncture appointment with a new group. Seriously need to deal with the arthritic pain in my neck, shoulders and back.
Hoping and praying the fires are gotten into control by the time I venture north again next Friday. Have a lot of nuts to bring back.
