August 28, 2020 - After the challenge - whoa - 8 weeks and what do I get...

Friday, August 28, 2020

Another day older, and deeper in debt...no seriously I am grateful for the reminder on the last day. I probably should have reviewed this earlier.

As a gentle reminder, this is what you wrote 8 weeks ago.

My Personal Summer Vision Quest:

1. If we were meeting here eight weeks from today and looking back to today, what to have happened for you to feel happy about your progress? List 3 things. . . (Hint - always state your answers as . . . "I will" . . . )

I will have lost 7 pounds. - not quite
I will be enjoying my retirement - Spot on!
I will be walking everyday. - I never caught my rhythm

2. List the 3 biggest challenges to be eliminated

I need to have my budget outlined. - so far have been too busy living & spending
I need to make sure I get 7+ hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. - yes mostly
I need stay on track with the group during an August road trip - road trip cancelled

3. List your 3 opportunities to be captured.

I could start a new gig with a non-profit where my passion lies - waiting though I have
volunteered for somethings that inspire me.
I can enjoy more energy. - some days
I can start yoga lessons. - never got around to it

4. List 3 strengths to be maximized.

My control over my eating - yes and no
My endurance - well, I am still here
My commitment to live each day with intention. - for the most part yeah, but...

I am so happy you participated in this activity! I have been doing this myself for years and learn or re-learn something with each round. I've requested one of the Stars leaders to continue this activity in the future for those that find it helpful.

I am proud of you Shining Star! Your efforts were more successful than not. I agree with MEADSBAY. C19 threw us all a curve. Shine on Shooting Star, Shine on and shine lighter! emoticon

I'm gonna say the 'numbers' of your successes are greater than the numbers of your still-working-ons. I'm seriously impressed, considering general conditions. I would suggest, if you're interested in yoga, subscribe to the free newsletter from Yoga Journal: https://www.yogajournal.com/ . I get a free, very informative, and not spammy newsletter that is wonderful. Just a suggestion. It's nice because you can use it at will. I think you're doing great! I hope your air is good by you. emoticon

So many of these worthy goals and aspirations may have been hindered by Covid, don’t you think?
