mood ring changed

These last few days I have started to feel much better.
I found myself slowly starting to slip into a depressive state. A blue mood, but not full depression.
I hated it. I didnt want to feel that way. I didnt want to miss out on life and make my Honey feel contused if he had done something because I sat around like a log.
I had to put a stop to it.
And I started walking again. Now I am not saying that walking or any exercise can stop depression or any other mental/emotional issues.
But it sure doesnt hurt.
I feel so good. Each day I add more steps and try to stay busy at home, cleaning, taking my dog for a walk around the yard. Whatever it takes to keep myself away from the blue news and the blue blues.
I think walking is about the best thing I have ever found to just lift me out of a funky mood.
Please, if you are suffering from depression or anxiety or any other kind of mood disorder, see a doctor.
I am not giving medical advice but for me, walking and getting outside in the sun lifts me.
I dont watch the news, I blocked many pages on social media that constantly barrage with news and politics and I walk.

    A few years ago I was in a similar place. I tried anti-depressants, but in no time at all, really just a few days, they made me feel strange, then it was feeling strange and depressed, and quit that after 2 weeks.

    Ultimately I got out of my funk by getting out of the house and going for walks too. I walked to go shopping, when I would usually drive. A 10 minute walk to the grocery store, buy things, see people, 10 minute walk back home.

    It wasn't that I did a full shopping trip each time, and it wasn't efficient, but that wasn't the point. It took a while, but it made me slowly feel better. So I understand going for walks!

    Glad you are doing better. Walking is a great way to appreciate what is around - flowers, clouds, sounds, smells . . . PLUS it's great exercise. Give your dog a hug from me!
