Still Struggling but Still Here

I've decided to go back to a Sparkpeople Premium Coaching Program and I chose the one about plateau busting. Today's assignment is to blog about my plateau so for better or for worse, here ya go....
In my last blog I mentioned how much the keto style way of eating was helping me and it was...until it wasn't and I began to gain weight. That def wasn't the plan. Then I tried to use the Trim Healthy Mama concept of separating my fuel sources into meals at least 3 hours apart. HIgher in fat one meal, then higher in carbs for another. I found myself gravitating toward fat as my fuel source more often than not. Switching diet plans after a few weeks shows I'm desperate. In my defense, I've been trying to lose about all of 2020 and haven't done too well. I'll lose a few pounds then gain them right back.
I should also mention that I track everything that goes into my mouth, I drink plenty of water, I get plenty of sleep and I'm exercising plenty! I use weights 2-3 times weekly in my workouts and I get plenty of cardio too.
You would think, with all that effort I would be able to lose at least a couple pounds and keep them off....but NOOOOOO. I weigh more now that I did 6 weeks ago. AAAKKKKK! Makes me want to pull my hair out.
Today's premium coaching assignment was to blog about where I am so there ya have it. I feel like I'm going at this as hard as I know how and I'm still not making progress. I'd like to lose about 5 lbs and that doesn't sound like a big goal to many people but trust me, it's a big deal to me right now because I am STUCK !
I went back and looked at what I was doing when I finally reached my goal weight and I was eating as many calories as now or maybe a few more/less some days. I was eating more carbs and less fat than on keto but I've always eaten a healthy amount of fat. No low fat diet for me. But perhaps my body can't handle the 60-70% fat that the keto style diet encourages.
I'm going to try going back to eating more carbs and my fat will probably level out around 35-50%. Figuring out my calorie range will be the hard part. I know you burn less as you get older. I've always done well by using 75% of whatever my fitbit says, but right now I'm eating about 60-65% of what fitbit says and I'm still gaining.
I apologize for those of you who read this all the way through. This was my ranting on paper about where I am because I'm frustrated but it helps to say it out loud....or out loud in cyberspace.
I'm going back to the drawing board and back to the basics....
