I have to admit that I've struggled with maintaining my weight this year. My goal has been to maintain plus or minus 3% of a center weight of 132 lbs. I did it for 2 years but started to struggle at the end of 2019. I did okay in January of 2020 but by February, many of my weigh ins were at 136 lbs or above. That doesn't sound too bad except that trending UP is not how you maintain your weight! I'd get back on the horse only to fall off again. lol From Feb thru June, I was only at 136 or below 15% of the time. I can't blame it on the pandemic either because I was struggling before that.
I have never been one to go on a particular 'diet' but rather have just eaten all things in moderation. Two good habits I have kept up have been exercise and tracking my food each day...even if I tracked it all at the end of the day. Those two things are probably the only reason I haven't completely left the rails!
At the beginning of LAST week, I decided to try something different. I started the keto diet. One thing I noticed right away is not only was I losing weight but I wasn't as hungry as before. Two good things! I'm not saying that I'll eat this way forever but for now, it has enabled me to feel more in control of what goes into my mouth and take off a few pounds and that's never a bad thing! In July, five of my six weigh-ins have been at or below 136 so that's progress! One day at a time!
