I suck at blogging, but not really.

Wednesday, July 01, 2020

I've just been too lazy to get my computer out and use it. I've been on my phone and the phone app doesn't let you blog or add photos. I am still alive and kicking! Back to hiking with Charleston. He really hates the heat and I am loving it. I am slowly working him up to 5 miles again since it has been a bit since we really hiked. I have also started back to tracking and working out. I really fell off there for a bit with the pandemic and all the craziness going on. I shaved parts of my hair and went Fuschia. I am desperately avoiding my hairstylist because the salon she now works in is a group of stylists and they all work together in the same (small to me) area. One day I will go back to her, just not now. For now, I have clippers and Manic Panic to keep me entertained. I am still big into plants (can't remember is I told you this or not). I have 12 houseplants (all thriving) and a decent container garden going. I have 2 tomatoes ( one Indigo Cherry and one mystery {Thanks Lowe's or that packet of Cherry tomato seeds that have given everything but cherry tomatoes}). I have 2 bell pepper plants (one is still stuck in very small size and the other has flowers!). I also have lettuce, 2 cilantro, 2 basil, 2 oregano, sage, rosemary, thyme, and candy cane peppermint. The peppermint is ginormous and I have been using it every day in my water. It is so good to just munch on a leaf too. It gives you the menthol cooling sensation.

Charleston is doing very well other than not liking the heat. He just celebrated 1 year with us on 6/30! I really can't believe it has been a year already but it also feels like we've had him forever. I have been letting him off-leash on our hikes when no one is around because he loves to chase chipmunks and let's be honest, I can't keep up. He is so good. Immediately returns to me when I call his name and after a few minutes of bunny hopping through the weeds and then is right back at my side to continue our hike. I do leash him as soon as we see anyone though just to make it easier for those who may be fearful of dogs.

Well, that's enough babbling from me. I hope you all are doing well, staying safe, and following all recommended guidelines!
