Yesterday was perfect for an early morning walk as the high was going to be around 90 deg F later on in the day. So after getting in my spark time, off we went! Join me on one of the most beautiful parks here in MN with lots of trails. Plenty of wide open fields followed by shady trails through the forest and the areas next to the lakes and marshes are amazing!
This was the view from the moment we entered the park. People fishing and having a lovely time.
And because I was in my happy place, I was as happy as one can be!
this is one of my favorite pics of the entire 2 hours we were there. Isn't it gorgeous. Does anyone know what it is??
This little guy was trying to tell me to kiss him and he could be my handsome prince, but I told him I already had one as you can see from the pic above! LOL!!!
Today we are going to another area that we have walked before that is also very scenic. We will go early because it is supposed to be another warm day! I hope I have inspired you to get outside and find some beauty around you and to spend some time admiring it!
As you can see, I love to take pics so my long suffering husband just goes along with it and knows that we have to stop every few minutes so I can take another pic of a flower, a tree, a plant, the lake! But when we look back in time, these are the things I will surround myself in and remember the beauty of a place.
Be safe out there today! Have fun, find beauty and take good care of yourself! You are the one and only you and you are beautiful. Spark on friends!
What a beautiful walk and the pictures are just lovely. Thank You. It's already 99 degrees out in our sun room and all the windows are open. So it looks like I will be walking at the fitness center and it is before 9:00 am. 313 days ago
I felt like I was hiking with you in your pictures! I loved them all. What a great trail you hiked on. My husband and I go cycling and it is very nice where we go. We usually do about fourteen miles. 314 days ago
Lovely pictures. That park is very gorgeous in the fall. There is a view on the south east side by a lake with Oak trees that is a favorite for artists to paint. So glad you & DH had a great walk. 314 days ago
Oh Holly, I can see why it is your happy place. It is breath taking! Thank you for inspiring me to get outside. We are having lots of rain again so my trail walk will have to wait for now. Sending you lots of hugs and love! 315 days ago
Holly, what beautiful pictures from the Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Our daughter lives not far from there. We use to pass the area when we would go to see them. My husband also played on the golf course many times. I don't know what the beautiful white cluster of flower is either, sure is a beauty though. I see the areas also have some of those lily pads on them too. If there is a lake in Minnesota that doesn't have any that would be a surprise. Have a lovely week. 315 days ago
My goodness Holly, your blogs are SO calming! Thank you! I think the white flowers are from a mesquite tree. Not sure the grow where you are, but sure looks like them!
6-29-2020 Today I have been going through our home & gathering 'things' that can be outside to put into my garden. Should be fun, I have so many beautiful things. Time to move the energy. Also, yesterday we had 35 MPH winds, at 105 degrees. I spent the morning cleaning branches & etc. from the yards. And about an hour, swimming, (cleaning, actually) the pool. What a big mess. There were so many yellow/orange wildflowers all over the top of the water, with the sun streaming through, it was actually so very beautiful! I should had taken photos! Happy new week everyone!
holly love the smiling pictures of you and your prince that place is so beautiful Lucky you I hope you enjoy your walk today too. thanks so much for sharing those beautiful pictures with us Hugs 316 days ago
Beautiful pictures! They make me homesick for Minnesota. The last time I was back to visit my family, I hiked through another regional park north of Minneapolis, that was on land that a friend of mine grew up and was only a mile from my home place. I love the idea of the Minnesota regional park system. 316 days ago
