It is SO easy to lose track of the time, sitting and scrolling through Facebook.
Of course,at my age, it doesn't take much to stiffen up.
So FINALLY I decided to use a timer and set it for 60 minutes.
Then I get up and move around - but with PURPOSE.
For instance, this past week has been a little chaotic as the layers of old tile had been stripped from my kitchen floor, then ceramic tiles put in. They put my oven out on the back porch, and the refrigerator in my living room (after having to remove the doors first, and put them back on!)Our dining table was cluttered, and we ended up sending out for meals because we couldn't cook, and I got disposable plates and cups since we couldn't get at the sink.
Well, Friday the stove was returned to its place but the tiles needed to set more before the fridge was moved, and of course they don't work weekends, and they didn't have an opening until TODAY. But every sixty minutes, I'd get up and putter - putting different things in their new places in the new kitchen cabinets under the sink. wiping the film of grout off the tile (this is particularly difficult for me, but I DID it, little by little!). Even in going to the bathroom, I'd then go onto my sunporch where I have a table set up with a jigsaw puzzle, and I'd aim to put in 5 pieces. Of course, a couple of times I had to re-adjust things because Rosie ALSO likes to go on the sunporch, accessing the window by way of the table.
And so, little by little, every 60 minutes, I'm getting something accomplished. And I'mmoving about so as not to stiffen. And that feels good!
