My Reasons to Exercise!

I'm super pumped because today I hit 26 days in my exercise streak! A couple weeks ago I made a list of reasons to exercise that I could look at on days that I want to skip a workout. I figured I'd share them since I'm getting more comfortable with the Spark community.

1. To feel better.
2. To have more energy.
3. To get stronger.
4. To help lose weight.
5. To crave healthier foods.
6. To be able to travel more.
7. To be in better shape when I'm in musicals.
8. To be able to keep up with my kids more.
9. For an easier pregnancy.
10. To make my husband proud.
11. For the awesome rewards I've picked out for myself!
12. For some alone time.

What are your reasons for exercising? I'd love more inspiration!

    Great reasons!

    Mine is to feel in control of my body. I love belly dance for the fact that I am using muscles precisely, isolated, deliberately. I feel more confident after I've been exercising for a while: I generally feel like I'm a fall risk, and honestly my history with sidewalks supports that fear. But exercising gives me confidence in my own movement and skill and capability.

    To feel and appreciate my body
    To be strong inside and out
    To express my strength and stamina
    And of course, it does burn calories but that’s only one reason

    I agree, it does set the stage for healthier eating.
    I also enjoy the “alone” time of my walks. I also enjoy the comraderie my exercise classes. We motivate each other and share common goals.

    You are so right on about developing the whys for all areas of health, fitness, weightloss.
