Overall March goals went well:
12K + steps a day for 24 of 31 days for March and
I have been doing some ST every day.
I logged my food and exercise every day and so far have an 80 streak for tracking both.
But March, for me, as is the same of most of us, has brought really exhausting, struggling times. My father passed suddenly in March. My cat also. Then COVID-19 has brought limits here. The church, greatly needed in this time, is only on-line.
And yet, I am thankful that I do the type of work that can be done from home. I am thankful that my mom is such a strong woman and adapting to my dad’s passing. I am thankful I have internet and heat, and food. I am thankful I have good friends who look in on us and us on them. I am thankful for the wide-open spaces here where we can walk and play and breathe fresh air.
So, as a new quarter of 2020 begins … and as Easter is nearly here with all its beginnings … and as a new 5% Challenge is beginning as well – here’s my goals for April.
In these times when my patience and humor are low, I will practice the pause. I will count to 5 before I respond to anything with anything other than a smile.
And I will commit to take care of myself with 5 hours of fresh air and outside time each week.
Also, I will commit to
12K Steps per day or more
15 flights of stairs per day
Log all exercise and nutrition here on Spark
Have a ½ Plate of veggies or fruit with every meal
Call a friend or family member every day
