February: Been taking my grandma to dr appts for her diabetic ulcer on her foot which has now caused a bone infection. It takes a lot out of a person picking them up multiple times in a day mixed with stressing out about someones health. I never thought about what I was eating or making myself get up to exercise. March: First half of the month did doctor appts and then everything came at a Holt. Hello Corona Now we are all stuck in the house. My aunt starting working from home this past Friday. Gram is on meds and foot looks good so stress is way down. I can finally focus on one thing. Me. I'm right now jumping between 227 and 233 which is better then before, 234 and 237. I'm down to 1 coke, or none, each week compared to around 6 cokes a week. Doing better on less added sugars and eating more veggies. Been talking with my aunt about what needs to change. She's around 260. She agrees so I hope that we stay on track. We also only ate out 2 times this month, Larosas and Skyline. Before it was at least once a week. Next month we are having Long Horn Steakhouse for my grandmas birthday. And this will be the only time we eat out. I do love cooking my own food but at times I do feel overwhelmed with if the meal is balanced or if gram or my aunt would eat it. Planning. I know this is the key to it all but for some odd reason my head goes blank and I cant think of any meals. So as I was typing this up it hit me. Some years back I had planned on making a list of proteins, veggies, grains and then make up meals. Ex: pecan crusted chicken // mixed wild rice // broccoli and carrots. I feel silly now, duh. Yesterday I organized the lower kitchen cabinets and stretched so much that my lower back hurts so today is a rest day. I think i will work on my meal planning food chart. P.S. everyone watch Derry Girls on Netflix. Season 3 coming out sometime this year. Its Irish so you really have to focus on what they are saying :)
