Doing better.

Monday, February 24, 2020

Sick for three days with a respiratory infection. Not sure if there is a connection, but every 8 weeks since my surgery in August I have caught an upper respiratory infection. This time, luckily I didn't have to take the strong antibiotics. I slept and slept. I have been so stressed for about a month - Mom with cancer treatments going, my biopsy and cancer back on my scalp and then the work stuff...Well, it never seems to end. But that is not new.

My doctor is talking about putting me on insulin. That really scares me. I am so new to this diabetes thing. This seems really drastic considering it has only been 6 months since the blood sugar problems caused by my tumor(s) and subsequent surgery to remove them. She doubled my medication and put me on a high dose of Vitamin D3. My fasting glucose was over 250 last test.

I am working hard on my diet and exercise. I would love help and support there! emoticon

Any suggestions there would be appreciated! I am cutting my carbs, drastically. But, I don't cook and since the surgery I don't have the energy to cook or clean honestly.

Then there is the situation with the house being so dang messy. I am ready to just give up on that front.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I am feeling better and back at work! My biopsy this time came back benign. Yippeee!

Happy Happy! So there is that. emoticon

I'm so glad the results were benign.
I'm not much of a cook, but crock pots and one pan meals are quick and easy. Take a pan any veggie and protein in the oven for about 30 mins makes a healthy meal.
Cleaning is good exercise and it releases stress to know things are clean and organized. Start with one room a day or if time is a problem work on one room for 30 mins each day till its done. When I do big cleaning like this I start with the room I 'hate' the most, anything that doesn't belong there I 'throw' into the room it does belong in. Once a room is done anything that has to go into that room gets put away right away.
    I hope this helps. Kelly
